Fiserv - Sioux Falls cuts, are more coming?

So the WARN notice for the 80 people in Sioux Falls hit today. I’ve been hearing rumblings that this is just the tip of the iceberg for the Q1 restructuring. It feels like every time we turn around there's another 'efficiency initiative' that results in us losing teammates. I’m sitting here trying to finish my sprint work while my manager won't even confirm if we’re safe for the next round. The communication from leadership is the usual corporate fluff—talking about 'streamlining' while we're all just waiting for the next shoe to drop. Anyone in other departments hearing about upcoming head count reductions, or is it strictly isolated to the SD site right now?

The 'efficiency initiative' narrative has been Fiserv's go-to excuse for years now. It’s impossible to focus on deadlines when management refuses to be transparent about who is actually on the chopping block. At this point, the silence from leadership is louder than any corporate email they send out. If you're feeling uneasy, trust your gut and start updating your resume quietly. It’s a miserable way to work, but expecting loyalty in this environment is just setting yourself up for more disappointment.

Hang in there. I've survived three of these 'restructuring' rounds already, and the strategy is always the same: keep everyone guessing until the very last minute to prevent a total work stoppage. Sioux Falls is just the beginning; they usually roll these cuts out in waves across different departments to keep the headcount reduction under the radar. Don't wait for them to give you a clear answer because they prioritize the stock price over team stability every single time. Start looking elsewhere now while you still have the upper hand.
