Fiserv - That Slow Creep of Uncertainty

Lately, I've been getting a weird feeling at Fiserv. It's not like there was a big announcement or anything, but there's been this slow creep of uncertainty. Performance reviews felt a bit more critical than usual, and some roles that opened up weren't filled for ages. Also, some internal tools and resources that were readily available seem to be getting scaled back or are harder to access. It's making me wonder what's really going on. Are they trying to optimize costs before a potential downturn, or is something bigger in the works? It's hard to get a straight answer from management, and the lack of clear communication is making folks antsy. Anyone else in a similar boat? Trying to figure out if this is a widespread trend or just something specific to my area. It's definitely creating a bit of a stressful atmosphere.

I've been feeling something similar. It's subtle, but the general vibe feels different. The hiring freeze on certain positions definitely raised an eyebrow. Combined with the resource cutbacks, it's hard not to speculate about what's on the horizon. Hopefully, it's just a strategic shift and not a sign of deeper issues, but the uncertainty is definitely palpable among the team.

Yeah, I've noticed the same. It feels like things are being tightened up across the board. The delay in filling roles and the reduced access to tools makes collaboration a bit more challenging. It's definitely a bit unsettling when you can't quite put your finger on the cause. Wondering if anyone has heard any unofficial whispers or has a clearer picture of the direction we're heading.
