Just saw the WARN notice for the 80 cuts in Sioux Falls on the 4th. Honestly, it feels like we’ve been waiting for the other shoe to drop ever since the beginning of the year. The silence from leadership is the worst part—nobody is saying if this was a one-off restructuring or if the headcount reduction targets are still looming over other departments. I have a few friends still over there and they say the vibe in the office is absolutely toxic right now. Everyone is just staring at their calendars waiting for that random 'check-in' meeting invite that never goes well. Is there any chatter about further rounds, or are we hoping that this takes care of the quarterly budget goals for the site?

It is honestly exhausting watching this place turn into a revolving door. Everyone knew the cuts were coming after the last town hall, but seeing it officially hit the WARN notice makes it so much more real. If you are still holding on, keep your resume updated and your head down. This company does not care about tenure or loyalty; it is just a spreadsheet game to them at this point. Stop waiting for leadership to give you the truth. They stopped being transparent years ago and the silence you are hearing is intentional. They want to keep everyone anxious enough to stay productive while they quietly dismantle teams. If the vibe is toxic, start networking externally immediately. Don't waste your energy trying to figure out if more cuts are looming—assume they are and prepare your exit strategy before you are forced to make one.
