Yeah, I've definitely noticed a slowdown in the past month or so. We had a couple of roles open that now seem to be on the back burner, and it's harder to get updates from HR than usual. It makes you wonder if budgets are being tightened or if they're reassessing priorities. Hoping it's a temporary thing, but it's hard to say how long these things typically drag on in situations like this. It does make planning a bit tricky when you're not sure about headcount.
It's not just you. I've heard similar things from folks in different divisions. The buzz is that they're being more selective with new hires and pausing on anything that isn't absolutely essential for immediate business needs. Some teams are apparently being asked to justify every open position. I'm curious to see if this leads to more internal mobility opportunities or if it's just a general belt-tightening measure. Time will tell, I guess.
