Hi everyone, I'm in [mention general area like product development/marketing] at Fortinet and over the past couple of months, it feels like the purse strings have gotten noticeably tighter. We're seeing more scrutiny on expenses, and some projects that seemed like sure things are being put on indefinite hold or significantly scaled back. It's creating a bit of uncertainty and making planning really challenging. It's not outright layoffs, but the financial pressure is definitely palpable and affecting our day-to-day work. Has anyone else experienced this? Are other departments seeing similar budget constraints or project freezes? Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just specific to certain areas. Curious to hear if others are feeling this pinch and how it's impacting your team's morale or output. Trying to figure out if this is a temporary squeeze or something more systemic.

Yeah, I'm seeing it too. The focus has definitely shifted to core revenue-generating initiatives, and anything that doesn't have a clear, immediate ROI is getting a second, third, and fourth look. It's understandable from a business perspective, but it does put a damper on innovation and expansion plans. Makes you wonder about the long-term strategy when certain growth areas are being starved of resources.

Totally. The shift in priorities is quite evident. It feels like the emphasis is purely on defense and maintaining existing market share, with less appetite for risk or exploring new territories. Project managers are having to be incredibly creative with fewer resources, and the pressure to justify every single line item is intense. It's a challenging climate for sure.
