Honestly, severance packages are so variable based on your role, tenure, and performance, that it's tough to give you a straight answer. Fortinet is generally known to be a decent company to work for, so I'd *hope* they'd be reasonable. If you're that worried, maybe check your employment agreement. It might have some details, though usually companies reserve the right to change it. Best of luck!
Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Worrying about severance when no layoffs are announced is just going to stress you out. Focus on being a valuable asset to the company. If you're truly 'niche,' that's your best protection. Also, PANW's generosity might not be the norm, they're flush with cash. Fortinet runs a tighter ship. Just sayin'.
