Rant: Overworked and underappreciated in TAC!

Seriously, I'm about to lose it. I'm in TAC, and the workload has been insane lately. We're constantly short-staffed, and the pressure to close tickets is relentless. Management keeps saying "we're all in this together," but it feels more like "we're going to squeeze every last drop of productivity out of you until you burn out." I've been putting in 60+ hour weeks consistently, and I'm not seeing any recognition or compensation for it. The customers are getting more demanding, the products are getting more complex, and we're getting less support. I'm starting to seriously regret taking this job. I feel like I'm constantly putting out fires, and I'm just exhausted. Time to start polishing up the resume, I think.

I hear you, man. TAC is a meat grinder. I did a stint there a couple years back. The ticket quotas are unrealistic, and the metrics are all about quantity over quality. Try to document *everything*. If you're putting in 60+ hours, keep a detailed log. Use it to push back on unreasonable deadlines or to at least prove your worth when review time comes. Also, start quietly looking for other internal roles or even external opportunities. Your mental health is more important than any job.

Seriously? This sounds pretty standard for any tech company TAC. It's a high-pressure role, and you knew that going in, right? While I agree companies can be better at compensating for overtime, complaining on a forum won't solve anything. Have you actually spoken to your manager about the workload and compensation expectations? A constructive conversation might be more effective than venting online. Also, is there room to optimize your workflows?
