Hey folks, been with Fortive for a few years now, and lately things feel...different. I haven't heard any concrete layoff news, but there's definitely a weird vibe. My team's been putting a pause on backfills, and some of the other departments seem to be doing the same. It's not just us; I've been casually chatting with some folks in other operating companies, and they're reporting similar things – slower hiring, fewer open requisitions, and a general sense of caution. Is anyone else picking up on this? Are there whispers of anything more significant happening behind the scenes, or is this just the general economic climate affecting things? Curious to hear if others are experiencing a similar slowdown or if it's just my perception. Trying to gauge the broader situation.

I've definitely noticed a shift too. My department had a couple of positions open up that were supposedly high priority, but now they're just sitting there, with no movement on filling them. It's creating a bit of a strain on the existing team, and there's an unspoken anxiety about what the future holds. The communication from leadership has been pretty vague, which doesn't help. Hopefully, it's just a temporary recalibration, but the signs are concerning.
