Fortive: Anyone else feeling the internal pressure?

What's the vibe at Fortive these days? I've been sensing a different kind of energy internally over the past few months. It's not the typical 'everything's fine' corporate speak. There's a definite undercurrent of 'do more with less,' and a few departments seem to be stretched pretty thin. I haven't heard any concrete layoff news, and management isn't exactly being transparent about future plans, which is making people nervous. We're seeing increased scrutiny on budgets, project scopes are being tightened, and there's a general sense that efficiency is being prioritized above all else. Is this just the standard economic cycle hitting, or is there something more specific happening at FTV? It feels like we're being prepped for something, but nobody's saying what. Anyone else experiencing this or have any theories on what might be brewing behind the scenes? It's tough to stay motivated when the future feels so uncertain.

I've definitely picked up on that too. The focus on efficiency is palpable, and while I understand the need to optimize, it does feel like there's a lot more expected from us lately without a corresponding increase in resources. The ambiguity around future plans certainly doesn't help ease the tension. Hoping for some clearer communication soon, but in the meantime, just trying to keep my head down and deliver.

Yeah, the 'do more with less' mantra is loud and clear. It's a tricky balance, isn't it? We're encouraged to innovate and drive results, but the constraints feel tighter than ever. The lack of transparency is the real kicker, leaving a lot of room for speculation and frankly, anxiety. Just hoping whatever strategic shifts are happening are for the long-term good of the company and its employees.
