Fortive: Anyone else seeing budget cuts impacting R&D?

Hey everyone, been with Fortive (specific division, won't name names here) for a few years now and things feel...different. For the last quarter, a lot of our planned projects are being put on hold or scaled back significantly due to 'budgetary reallocations.' It's not just a few projects either, it's across the board. My manager is being super cagey about it, just saying 'we need to prioritize' and 'focus on core revenue streams.' Sounds like a nice way of saying the money just isn't there like it used to be. Anyone else in other Fortive companies or divisions experiencing this? Feels like a precursor to something bigger, or at least a sign that things are tighter than we're being told.
