Definitely feeling this. The 'focus on core' mantra is definitely getting louder. We had a couple of R&D projects that seemed like slam dunks get put on hold indefinitely with no real explanation beyond 'prioritization.' It's frustrating because those initiatives were supposed to drive future growth, but now it feels like we're just treading water. Hopefully, it's just a temporary belt-tightening and not a sign of deeper issues.
Yeah, the mood here has shifted. The usual optimism about new ventures seems to have been replaced by a more cautious, 'make sure the current numbers look good' mentality. Even seemingly small requests for software upgrades or training are facing more hurdles. It makes you wonder if the executive team sees something coming down the pipeline that we don't, or if they're just trying to squeeze every last drop of efficiency out of the existing structure.
