Anyone else concerned about the Delcambre ripple effects?

Saw the WARN notice hit for the Wilfred Landry St. location a couple days ago. 27 people gone is a specific number, but it feels like the start of something wider. I’m currently at a different facility and the atmosphere has been incredibly tense lately. Leadership keeps talking about 'operational efficiency' and 'streamlining,' which is corporate-speak for 'we aren't done yet.' Is anyone hearing if this is isolated to the Louisiana plant, or are we expecting more consolidation across the business unit before the end of Q3? Trying to figure out if I should start dusting off the resume now or wait until the next all-hands meeting. The lack of transparency from the top is making it really hard to stay focused on daily targets.

The writing is on the wall. When management starts leaning heavily on 'operational efficiency' buzzwords, it’s never just about one site. I’ve seen this playbook before at other manufacturing firms; they trim the smaller, localized facilities first to test the waters before moving on to larger restructuring efforts. Don't buy into the line that this is an isolated incident. Start polishing your resume now, because if they are already cutting staff in Louisiana, the corporate bean counters have likely already mapped out the next several rounds of layoffs elsewhere. Keep your head down, but keep your options open.
