Fortune Brands Building Products - Anyone else feeling the pressure?

Hey everyone, I've been with Fortune Brands (specifically in the Building Products segment) for a few years now, and lately, things have felt... off. There's definitely a sense of unease, and it's not just me. Heard whispers and seen some team reorgs that feel more like cost-cutting than strategic moves. Nobody's talking officially, but the general vibe is pretty heavy. Anyone else in Building Products seeing similar things or hearing anything concrete? Trying to gauge if this is widespread or just my specific department. It's hard to stay motivated when you're constantly looking over your shoulder, you know? Feels like we're in a holding pattern, and nobody knows what comes next. Just looking for some shared experiences or any unofficial intel that might be out there. Thanks in advance.

I'm in a different segment but can absolutely relate to the feeling of unease. We've had some shifts too, and the lack of clear communication from leadership is really unsettling. It creates a lot of speculation and anxiety among the teams, making it hard to focus on the actual work. Hoping for some clarity soon, but yeah, the 'whispers' are loud everywhere, it seems.

Yep, definitely feeling it in Building Products as well. The 'reorgs' feel more like a headcount reduction disguised as efficiency improvements. It's tough when you're trying to stay motivated and productive, but management seems more focused on the bottom line than the people who are actually generating it. The uncertainty is the worst part. Good luck out there.
