Fortune Brands Building Products - Morale Taking a Hit?

Is it just me or has the general vibe at Fortune Brands Building Products gotten pretty shaky lately? I'm not talking about specific layoff rumors because I haven't heard any concrete ones that haven't been debunked or are pure speculation. But the overall feeling seems... off. People are definitely more tight-lipped in meetings, and there's a sense of anxiety that wasn't really there before. Even with the existing workload issues we've discussed, it feels like something else is underlying it all. Maybe it's the constant market uncertainty, or perhaps there have been some internal reorgs that weren't widely communicated but are impacting daily work. I've noticed a few more 'stay interviews' happening, which can be a good thing, but also sometimes a sign that leadership is worried about retention. Curious to hear if others are feeling this shift in atmosphere. How are you guys managing morale on your teams, or how is it impacting you personally? It's tough to stay motivated when there's this lingering sense of unease, even without explicit bad news.

I've felt that shift too. It's like there's an unspoken tension, and people are more cautious about what they say, even in casual conversations. It's definitely not just you noticing this. Maybe it's a reflection of broader industry uncertainty or something specific happening internally that hasn't been communicated clearly. Whatever it is, it's impacting the general atmosphere.

I can't say I've noticed a significant difference myself, but I can see how the subtle changes in meeting dynamics could create that impression. Perhaps it's a result of increased focus on certain projects or a shift in management priorities that hasn't been fully explained yet. Sometimes, what seems like anxiety is just heightened anticipation for upcoming developments.
