Any rumors on the Q3 overhead reduction targets?

Is it just me, or has the atmosphere at the home office been incredibly tense lately? I’ve noticed a few senior VPs making rounds into departments they usually ignore, and the chatter about 'optimizing operational efficiency' is getting louder in every town hall. Usually, when leadership starts leaning into that specific jargon, it’s a precursor to a restructuring announcement. I’ve been digging through some of the internal memos regarding the site consolidation plans, and the math just doesn't seem to add up for headcount retention. If they are moving toward automation in the concentrator plants, it feels inevitable that the support staff overhead is next on the chopping block. Has anyone caught wind of actual targets, or is this just standard end-of-quarter performance anxiety? Would appreciate any insight from those closer to the Phoenix brass.

The rumors are definitely flying. I’ve heard whispers that the Q3 targets are significantly higher than the initial projections discussed in Q2. Management is keeping a tight lid on the specifics, but the focus on 'operational efficiency' is just corporate speak for headcount reduction. If you're seeing VPs sniffing around your department, start polishing your resume now. It feels like they are aiming for a major shake-up before the fiscal year ends to appease shareholders who are unhappy with the recent volatility.

Honestly, the vibe at the home office has been garbage for weeks. Everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop, and the lack of transparency is fueling the anxiety. I wouldn’t put too much stock into the specific overhead targets being leaked yet, as those numbers usually change five times before they reach the town hall stage. Just focus on your core deliverables and keep your head down. If the cuts happen, they’ll be looking for any excuse to trim, so don't give them a reason to flag your unit.
