Freeport-McMoRan: Anyone else seeing internal shifts?

Hey all, been with FCX for a few years now in the [mention department, e.g., engineering/operations] side. Lately, there's been a weird vibe. Projects are getting re-prioritized left and right, and some roles that seemed secure are suddenly being looked at 'for efficiency'. No official announcements or anything, but the whispers are getting louder. Feels like management is doing some internal reshuffling, maybe consolidating teams or prepping for something down the line. Anyone else in different departments noticing similar trends? Curious if this is just my site or a broader thing across the company. Trying to gauge the temperature without causing undue panic, but it's hard not to notice the changes.

Yeah, I'm picking up on that too, though I'm on the finance end. Things feel a bit more flux than usual, with budget lines shifting and some long-term projects suddenly needing immediate justification. It's definitely creating a bit of uncertainty, and you can't help but wonder what the ultimate goal is. Hopefully, it's just standard business optimization, but it's hard to ignore the underlying unease.

Interesting to hear this from the operations side. In my department, we've seen a similar pattern with task allocation and some of the training initiatives being put on hold indefinitely. It makes it tough to plan ahead when the landscape feels like it's constantly changing. The lack of clear communication only amplifies the speculation. Let's hope any changes are ultimately beneficial for the company's long-term health.
