Anyone else feeling the pressure internally at Gartner Consulting?

Been with Gartner Consulting for a few years now, and lately, things feel... tight. Heard some whispers about tighter budgets and a general slowdown in hiring for certain roles. It's not official, but you can feel a shift. Projects seem to be scrutinized more, and there's definitely a vibe of 'doing more with less'. Anyone else in consulting noticing this? Is it just my practice area, or is this a broader trend across Gartner? Curious if others are seeing similar signs or if I'm just overthinking it. Trying to get a sense of the temperature without causing undue panic.

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it too. It's not just your practice area. There's a definite sense of belt-tightening across the board. Projects are under a microscope, and resource allocation feels a lot more deliberate. It's not necessarily a bad thing, as it forces us to be more efficient and strategic, but the pressure to deliver more with less is palpable. Makes you wonder about the long-term outlook.

Interesting to hear you say that. While I haven't seen overt budget cuts, the emphasis on proving ROI and maximizing project impact has certainly increased. There's a subtle shift in how engagements are framed, focusing more on tangible business outcomes. It could be a natural evolution of the market, or perhaps a response to broader economic factors impacting the industry. Keeping a close eye on this.
