Gartner Consulting - Anyone else seeing a slowdown in new business?

I'm noticing a definite dip in the pipeline for new engagements. The usual churn seems to have slowed, and it feels like clients are being much more cautious with their budgets. It's making me nervous about our team's utilization and, by extension, job security. Historically, we've always had a steady stream of opportunities, but that doesn't seem to be the case right now. Is this a company-wide thing or just specific to my practice area? Trying to gauge the temperature and see if others are experiencing the same thing. It’s hard to ignore when proposals aren’t getting traction and existing contracts are being scrutinized more heavily. Any insights from your end would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely feel this. We've seen a noticeable increase in procurement scrutiny and longer sales cycles for our projects over the past few quarters. Larger, transformational deals seem to be on hold or being broken down into smaller, more manageable phases. It's definitely impacting our ability to forecast and resource effectively, creating some anxiety around utilization targets.

Interesting to hear you say that. I haven't observed a significant pipeline slowdown in my specific area. While clients are certainly more budget-conscious, we're still seeing demand for our advisory services, particularly around areas like cloud optimization and data analytics. Perhaps it's a practice-specific or regional variation? Keep us posted if you hear more intel.
