Gartner Consulting - Anyone seeing headcount freezes or budget cuts?

Hey everyone, Been seeing some chatter, and honestly, feeling a bit of a chill myself here at Gartner Consulting. Nothing concrete, no official announcements, but there's a definite quietness that wasn't there a few months ago. Projects seem to be getting scrutinized more heavily, and I've heard whispers about potential hiring freezes on certain teams. Some of the usual internal training and development budgets also seem to have been tightened up. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a department that's feeling the pinch more. Are others in Gartner Consulting noticing similar slowdowns or budget tightening? Are there any specific areas experiencing more noticeable impact? Curious to hear what others are observing on the ground. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the vibe is definitely different lately.

I've noticed a similar slowdown anecdotally. While not explicitly stated, the pace of approvals on new initiatives feels slower, and there's more emphasis on existing client retention rather than aggressively pursuing new large-scale deals. It's a bit disconcerting, but perhaps just a sign of market recalibration. Let's hope it's a temporary phase.

Interesting you bring this up. We've been seeing a similar pattern in our division. There's definitely a more cautious approach to spending, with a focus on justifying every expense and a longer lead time for resource allocation. It's not alarm bells yet, but the shift in atmosphere is palpable. Curious to hear if others are experiencing this too.
