Interesting point about the shift in client expectations. I've noticed it too, especially the emphasis on hard numbers and clear ROI. It seems the days of relying solely on high-level strategic advice are fading. Clients are becoming more sophisticated and have access to more data internally. We really need to demonstrate the direct, measurable impact of our engagements. This might mean rethinking our service offerings and focusing on more data-driven deliverables.
I'm not surprised by this sentiment. The consulting landscape is always evolving. If clients are pushing for more proof points and exploring internal capabilities, it forces us to be sharper. Perhaps we need to partner more closely with client data teams from the outset, or offer more flexible engagement models. It's a challenge, but also an opportunity to innovate and solidify our value in new ways.
