Gartner Consulting: Economic Headwinds Impacting Deal Flow?

Hey all, been in consulting at Gartner for a few years now. Lately, I'm noticing a definite slowdown in new business pipelines. Sales cycles seem to be stretching out, and some potential clients are hesitant to commit to larger, multi-year engagements. We're hearing a lot about budget constraints and a 'wait-and-see' attitude towards the broader economic outlook. Anyone else experiencing this across different practices? Are you seeing fewer proposals being kicked off, or are the scopes of work being significantly trimmed down? Trying to gauge if this is an isolated observation or a more widespread trend impacting our firm. Curious to hear what others are seeing on the ground with client interactions and deal closures.

Definitely hearing similar chatter. The uncertainty definitely puts a chill on discretionary spending, and consulting often falls into that bucket when times get tight. We're seeing a push towards smaller, more focused projects with clearer ROI, rather than the big, transformational plays. It's a shift in client mindset, for sure. Hopefully, things pick up as the economic picture clarifies.
