Hey all, been with GEHC for a few years now and lately things feel… quiet. Not just on the new job postings, but also internal comms seem to be dialled down. Anyone else in Medical Devices picking up on this? It's not official, but the vibe is definitely shifting. Projects seem to be getting more scrutiny, and some of the longer-term initiatives feel like they're being put on the back burner. Wondering if others are seeing similar things in their departments or divisions. Trying to get a pulse check on the general sentiment. Is it just me, or is the company tightening the belt in ways that aren't being explicitly announced yet? Would love to hear if anyone has any insights, even anecdotal ones. Trying to prepare for whatever might be coming.

I've noticed a similar slowdown in my area as well. It's not just the lack of new roles, but the increased focus on ROI for any new expenditure. Seems like every dollar is being watched more closely than usual. My team has had a couple of brainstorming sessions that were shelved because they were deemed too "blue sky" at the moment. It's definitely a shift from the growth-oriented attitude of the past couple of years. Hope it's just a temporary recalibration.

Yes, I'm picking up on the same things. The project prioritization is definitely tighter, and there's a sense that we need to deliver more with existing resources. Some colleagues have mentioned that travel budgets are being reviewed more strictly, and there's a general air of caution. It’s understandable given the economic climate, but it does create a bit of uncertainty. It’s good to know I'm not the only one feeling this subtle but definite change.
