GE HealthCare Performance Reviews - What's the expectation?

So, performance review season is rolling around again for GEHC. Usually, it's pretty straightforward, but this year feels different. There's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency' and 'optimization' in recent town halls, and frankly, it's making me a bit nervous about how our reviews will be framed. Are managers being pushed to rate lower across the board, or is it more about hitting specific metrics that might be harder to achieve given current market conditions? Has anyone had early conversations with their managers about expectations for this cycle? I'm trying to understand if the usual 'exceeds expectations' level is still realistic, or if the bar has been raised significantly without a corresponding increase in resources. Any intel from other divisions in Med Device would be appreciated.

I'm feeling the same way. The buzzwords around 'efficiency' and 'optimization' definitely have me wondering if it's just corporate speak for cutting costs or if there's a genuine shift in how success is measured. My manager hasn't given much away, just general platitudes about aligning with company goals. Hoping it's not a setup for a tough year on ratings, especially with all the external pressures the business is facing. Hoping for some clarity soon.

Yeah, the 'optimization' talk is unsettling. My impression is it's less about managers being told to rate everyone lower and more about a sharper focus on specific, quantifiable targets. If those targets haven't been adjusted for the current economic climate or supply chain issues, it could definitely make hitting them a challenge. It feels like the goalposts might be moving subtly, which makes it harder to gauge expectations accurately.
