Just curious if others in the engineering org at GE HealthCare are feeling the heat lately. Been working on a few key initiatives and it feels like the goalposts are shifting more than usual, or maybe resources are getting tighter than anticipated. Not necessarily talking layoffs here, but more like project re-prioritization or a push for 'efficiency' that feels a little concerning. Has anyone heard any rumblings about strategic shifts that might be impacting engineering workflows or team structures? Trying to understand if this is a broader trend or just my specific area. Curious to hear from other engineers across different product lines.

Yeah, I've definitely felt a similar squeeze lately. It seems like the pace has picked up across the board, and there's a constant push to do more with less. We've had a few projects where the scope seemed to expand unexpectedly, or deadlines got pulled in without a clear understanding of how that would be achieved. It makes you wonder if there's a larger organizational change happening that we aren't fully privy to, impacting our day-to-day work.

I can relate to that feeling. There's definitely a sense of urgency, and it feels like priorities are shifting pretty rapidly. It's tough to get stable footing when what was critical last week might be less so this week. I'm not sure if it's strategic shifts or just the nature of the industry right now, but it does make planning and execution more challenging than usual. Keeping my head down and focusing on what I can control.
