Noticed a significant uptick in how carefully every single expense is being reviewed. It's beyond the usual budget checks. Things that were automatically approved a few months ago now require multiple layers of sign-off, and there's a lot more questioning about the 'necessity' of even small purchases. Even things like software subscriptions or training materials are getting a second look. It feels like the purse strings are being tightened considerably. I know companies tighten belts sometimes, but this feels more pronounced than usual. Wondering if this is a company-wide thing or just my department catching a lot of heat.
