Morale seems low, anyone else notice this?

Hey folks, been at GEHC for a few years now in [Department/Division - e.g., Imaging R&D]. Lately, I've noticed a definite dip in general morale across the board. People seem more withdrawn, fewer spontaneous hallway chats, and the usual after-work social events are sparsely attended. It's not just my immediate team, I've heard similar sentiments from people in other departments too. There's this underlying tension, like everyone's just waiting for something to happen. No specific news or rumors, just a general feeling that things aren't as upbeat as they used to be. Is this widespread, or am I just picking up on something specific to my area? Curious to hear if others are feeling the same vibe.

I've been feeling it too, especially in the last six months. It feels like there's a lot of uncertainty, and it's making people hesitant to invest their energy. The constant reorganizations don't help either. It's tough to feel motivated when the ground keeps shifting beneath you. Hoping things improve soon.

Definitely. The vibe has changed. It's less about collaboration and more about just getting through the day. I miss the days when people were excited about new projects and the company's direction. Now, it feels more like a job, not a career. Makes you wonder what the long-term outlook is.
