Odd focus on 'optimization' - anyone else?

0x7036…5650Lately, it feels like every meeting, every email, is about 'optimizing processes' or 'driving efficiencies.' We're spending more time talking about *how* we work than actually doing the work. My manager keeps bringing up new 'lean methodologies' and 'streamlining workflows.' It's starting to feel a bit like they're looking for reasons to cut corners, or maybe people. It's creating a weird atmosphere where everyone's a bit on edge, wondering if their specific role is being 'optimized' out of existence. Anyone else getting this vibe, or is it just my department drowning in buzzwords?
