Anyone else feeling uneasy at Gen? Recent buzz or just me?

Hey all, been at Gen for a bit now, mostly in one of the acquired companies that's been integrated. Lately, there's been a… vibe. Not hearing any solid layoff rumors, but the general atmosphere feels a bit tense. Project scopes are tightening, some hiring freezes seem to be subtly in effect, and there's been a lot of talk about 'efficiency gains' and 'synergies' in recent all-hands meetings. It's the kind of corporate speak that usually precedes some kind of restructuring, even if it's not outright layoffs. Anyone else picking up on this? Or am I just being paranoid? Curious to hear if others are seeing similar patterns or have any insights into what might be brewing.

I've picked up on that too. It's subtle, but definitely there. Been in a similar boat with integrations before, and that 'efficiency' talk is a classic precursor. Doesn't necessarily mean doom and gloom, but it's wise to be aware of the undercurrents. Hope it's just standard business optimization, but it's hard not to feel a bit on edge when the language shifts like that.

Yeah, the 'synergy' talk has been ringing alarm bells for me as well. It feels like a lot of churn is coming, even if they're trying to spin it positively. I'm just trying to focus on my work and keep my head down, but it's hard to ignore the feeling that things are being reshaped behind the scenes. Keeping an eye on things, for sure.
