Anyone else seeing budget freezes/hiring slowdown at Gen?

Lurking for a bit, but decided to post. I'm at Gen Digital and things feel… stagnant. My team's been told to "optimize existing resources" which sounds like a polite way of saying "don't expect new headcount anytime soon, and maybe rethink that software subscription." Budget reviews are taking forever, and any new initiatives are being put through the wringer. We had a few open reqs that just went dark without explanation. I know there are always cycles, but this feels more significant than just a quarterly budget adjustment. It's making planning for next year a real headache. Wondering if this is a broader trend across Gen or if my specific division is just going through a rough patch. Anyone else in a similar boat or heard anything more concrete about the financial outlook? Trying to prepare myself mentally and professionally.
