Gen Digital - Anyone else's team seeing hiring slowdowns?

Been at Gen for a while now and my team was supposed to onboard a few new folks this quarter. Looks like those offers have been rescinded or at least put on indefinite hold. We haven't had any official communication about layoffs, but the sudden stop in hiring feels pretty stark, especially after hearing some whispers about cost-saving measures across different departments. My direct manager also seems a bit hesitant to talk about future headcount. Is this happening elsewhere in the company? Curious to hear if others are seeing a similar hiring freeze or slowdown.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a similar trend on my team. We were expecting a couple of new hires to help with workload, but those roles seem to have vanished. There's been no formal announcement, but the hiring freeze is palpable. It's unsettling, especially when you hear about other teams tightening their belts. Makes you wonder what the broader strategy is, or if it's just a temporary pause.

Same here. We had some promising candidates in the pipeline, and suddenly everything went quiet. Offers that were extended are now in limbo, and the official word is pretty vague. It's creating a bit of uncertainty, and people are starting to ask questions. Hopefully, there's some clarity coming soon about the direction we're heading regarding growth and hiring.
