Gen Digital - Increased scrutiny on expense reports?

Lately, it feels like every single expense, no matter how small, is getting an extra layer of review. My manager is asking for way more justification than usual for things that were previously straightforward. I've seen a couple of smaller discretionary budgets get cut too, things like team lunches or training allowances. It's not a huge deal on its own, but it's starting to add up. Makes you wonder if they're trying to trim fat somewhere specific or if it's a broader belt-tightening effort. Anyone else in different departments noticing this increased financial oversight?

Yeah, I've noticed something similar. It's not just expense reports; even small project approvals seem to be taking longer. There's definitely a sense of increased caution around spending, which is understandable given the economic climate, but it does make day-to-day operations a bit more cumbersome. I'm hoping it's a temporary measure and not indicative of deeper financial issues.

I can confirm that. The emphasis on meticulous expense tracking and justification has ramped up considerably. It's like every dollar spent needs to be defended. While fiscal responsibility is important, this level of scrutiny feels a bit excessive and is certainly impacting morale and team dynamics. It makes you question where the focus truly lies.
