Anyone else feel like hiring has just... stopped? I know we're a cybersecurity company and things can be a bit unpredictable, but usually there's at least some chatter about new roles opening up, or people moving internally to new teams. Recently, it feels like the pipeline has gone completely dry. My team has an open req that's been sitting for months with no movement. When I've asked around, people seem to be in the dark too. It's not just about hiring freezes because of economic downturns; it feels more deliberate, like they're really tightening the purse strings on headcount. I'm seeing the same thing across several departments. It's definitely unusual. While strategic hiring is one thing, the complete lack of buzz is a bit concerning. It feels less like a deliberate slowdown and more like things have just stalled out. My understanding is that approvals are getting stuck somewhere high up, and no one seems to know why or when it might change. Fingers crossed it's just a temporary bottleneck.
