Gen Digital - Performance Review Season Feeling Different?

Hey folks, has anyone else noticed a subtle but distinct shift in the tone or focus during recent performance reviews at Gen Digital? Mine felt unusually rigorous this cycle, with a much heavier emphasis on 'measurable outcomes' and 'impact on profitability.' Normally, it's a mix of achievements and development, but this felt like a deep dive into justifying every role's direct financial contribution. It wasn't overtly negative, but the underlying message felt... intense. Is this just my experience, or are others feeling a similar pressure to prove their worth in a more quantifiable, bottom-line-driven way?

I've definitely felt a similar vibe. It seems like there's a stronger push across the board to connect individual work directly to the bottom line. While I appreciate the clarity in expectations, it does put a bit more pressure on demonstrating tangible financial wins, even for roles that are less directly tied to revenue generation. Hopefully, it's a temporary phase focused on efficiency and not a permanent shift in how contributions are valued.

Interesting that you bring this up. My experience was a bit different, with more focus on cross-functional collaboration and demonstrating how our work supports the broader strategic goals, which indirectly impacts profitability. Perhaps the emphasis varies by department or leadership style within Gen Digital? I'm curious to hear more perspectives to see if there's a more widespread trend or isolated instances.
