Gen Digital - Seeing more 'efficiency' talk, feels off

0x3ef5…7b77Lately, there's been a lot more emphasis from leadership about 'driving efficiency' and 'optimizing processes' across the board. On the surface, it sounds standard corporate speak, but the tone feels different. It's less about innovation and growth, and more about trimming fat.
We've had a few all-hands meetings where the focus has been heavily on cost-saving measures and maximizing output with existing resources. My manager has also been pushing us to document 'non-essential' tasks and evaluate 'redundancies'. It's making me a bit uneasy, to be honest. It feels like a lot of the positive energy from a year or two ago has been replaced by this underlying tension about belt-tightening.
Is this just me, or are others picking up on this shift? Feels like a potential lead-up to something, but I'm not sure what. Trying to stay grounded, but it's hard when the messaging starts to feel a bit ominous.
