Gen Digital - What's the vibe post-acquisition integration?

Hey everyone, been with Gen for a bit now, and honestly, things feel... strange. Since the big merger, there's been a lot of talk about 'synergies' and 'streamlining,' but it's starting to feel like more than just corporate jargon. I've noticed a lot of key people from the acquired companies either leaving or being moved into roles that don't seem to have much direction. My team has had a couple of 'reorganizations' already, and while no one's explicitly saying layoffs are coming, the general sentiment is definitely one of uncertainty. Budgets seem tighter, and there's a noticeable slowdown in new project approvals. Anyone else seeing this? Curious if this is just my department or a wider trend across Gen.

Interesting perspective. I've been feeling some similar undercurrents. The messaging about 'optimizing operations' is constant, but the actual day-to-day impact feels a bit chaotic. It’s hard to get a clear picture of the long-term strategy when teams are constantly shifting. Definitely makes you wonder what the endgame is beyond just cutting costs.

I can relate to the feeling of unease. While some of the integration efforts seem logical on paper, the execution feels rushed and without much consideration for the people directly affected. It's tough when you see talented individuals depart or get sidelined. Hoping for more clarity and stability soon, but not holding my breath.
