Generac - Anyone else notice a hiring freeze in effect?

Been trying to get a couple of new hires approved for my team for the last quarter, and it's been a constant pushback. First it was 'waiting for budget,' then 'reviewing headcount,' and now it's just radio silence. HR says they don't have any official updates, but new requisitions seem to be getting stalled or outright rejected. My team is already understaffed, and we're picking up the slack from other areas that have quietly lost people. It feels like the company is trying to manage costs without making any official announcements. The silence from leadership on this is the most concerning part. Anyone else experiencing this with their hiring efforts? Feels like a soft hiring freeze across the board.

I've heard similar rumblings across a few departments. It's definitely a concern when you can't get the resources you need to do the job effectively. Feels like management is prioritizing belt-tightening over operational capacity right now. Hope it's a temporary situation and not indicative of bigger issues down the line. We all feel the strain when teams are understaffed.

That's frustrating. My department has also been trying to backfill a couple of critical roles for months with no luck. It's making it really tough to meet deadlines and maintain our usual quality. The lack of clear communication from leadership on this is the worst part. We need to know what's going on to plan accordingly.
