Generac - Anyone else seeing increased hiring freezes?

Been with Generac for a few years now, and lately, it feels like the brakes have been slammed on hiring. My department put in a request for a new engineer months ago, and it's still stuck in limbo. Other teams I've chatted with informally are saying the same thing – no new headcounts approved, and even replacing departing employees is a struggle. It's making the existing teams stretch even thinner. Is this a company-wide thing, or just specific divisions? Trying to gauge if this is a temporary pause or something more concerning regarding future growth/stability. Anyone else hearing similar things or have insight into the hiring freeze situation?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a slowdown from my end too. It's not just you. Feels like approvals are taking way longer, and budget discussions are getting really tight. We've had a couple of key roles open for months that haven't moved forward. It's understandable given the current economic climate, but it's definitely putting a strain on the rest of us to pick up the slack. Hoping it's just a temporary adjustment.

Interesting you bring this up. I haven't experienced a full hiring freeze, but the pace has certainly slowed considerably. It seems like any new positions require significant justification, and even replacements are taking longer than usual to get approved. I was told it's more about managing resources carefully right now. Good to know it's not just isolated incidents and others are seeing this trend as well. Makes you wonder about future growth plans.
