Generac - Observing a weird shift in focus lately...

Hey everyone, been at Generac for a few years now and things have felt...off lately. It's not a big announcement or anything, but there's this subtle shift happening. Teams that used to be packed are now looking a bit leaner, and there's a noticeable slowdown in really big, ambitious new initiatives. More focus seems to be on optimizing what we already have, or smaller, incremental improvements. It feels like the days of huge R&D pushes or major expansion projects are on pause. Anyone else in the Industrials sector seeing this? Is it just me or has the overall vibe changed from 'growth at all costs' to 'efficiency first'? Curious if this is a company-wide thing or just specific pockets.

Interesting observation. I've definitely noticed a similar vibe. It feels less like a grand expansion and more like a careful consolidation. Maybe it's a strategic move to shore up existing products or prepare for a specific market shift we haven't seen yet. Could be good for long-term stability, but I get why it feels less exciting than the big projects of the past.

I'm with you. It's like the company is taking a deep breath. There's a definite sense of refinement over revolution happening right now. Perhaps management is prioritizing efficiency and sustainability before embarking on the next big leap. It's a different kind of energy, for sure, and it will be interesting to see what comes out of this period of optimization.
