Generac - Performance reviews and future outlook?

With the recent economic climate and everything that's been going on, I'm curious about how performance reviews are being handled this year. Are they more critical than usual? Is there a subtle message being sent about needing to 'do more with less'? My manager has been a bit vague, and I'm trying to gauge the general sentiment. Beyond that, has anyone heard any whispers about the company's long-term strategy, especially concerning potential restructuring or shifts in focus? Trying to get a clearer picture of where Generac is heading and how it might impact our roles. Feels like a lot of uncertainty, and proactive information would be helpful.

Performance reviews definitely feel a bit tighter this year. My manager's feedback was all about efficiency and exceeding targets, which, yeah, feels like a coded message about needing to maximize output without increasing resources. It's a little stressful, honestly, because it's hard to know exactly what 'doing more' looks like without clearer direction. Hoping for more transparency soon. The lack of specifics is unnerving when trying to plan career progression.

Heard some rumblings about Generac looking to streamline operations in certain divisions, potentially impacting R&D and manufacturing overhead. It's not concrete yet, just whispers from some older-timers who've seen cycles like this before. They're also apparently investing heavily in their smart home tech integration, so that might be a long-term growth area. Keep an eye on those announcements.
