Morale Taking a Hit at Generac?

Seriously, what's going on with morale here? Feels like it's been on a steady decline for a while, but it's gotten noticeably worse in the last month or two. Management seems to be doing a lot of 'streamlining' and 'efficiency drives' that mostly translate to more work for fewer people, or just a general sense of uncertainty. The 'why' behind a lot of decisions isn't clear, and it's creating a lot of frustration and distrust. Anyone else feel like they're constantly walking on eggshells or that the company's priorities are completely out of whack? Makes you wonder where things are headed.

I've definitely felt the same way. It seems like every quarter there's a new initiative that promises improvement but just ends up adding to the workload or changing priorities. The lack of clear communication about the long-term vision, especially with all the restructuring, makes it hard to feel secure or invested. It's a tough environment when you're unsure if your efforts will be valued or if your role might be impacted by the next 'efficiency drive.' Hopefully, things will stabilize soon.

Totally agree. The constant 'streamlining' feels more like a euphemism for cost-cutting that leaves the remaining staff overloaded. It's disheartening to see the company's stated values about its people not always reflected in the day-to-day decisions. The uncertainty breeds anxiety, and it's hard to maintain enthusiasm when you feel like you're just a cog in a machine being optimized, rather than a valued contributor. Transparency would go a long way in rebuilding trust.
