Anyone else feeling the pinch at GD? Signs of trouble?

Hey all, been with GD for a few years now, and I'm getting a weird vibe lately. It's subtle, not like official news or anything, but the general atmosphere feels... tense. Projects seem to be stretching longer than usual, and there's been a lot of quiet reshuffling of teams on some of the bigger contracts. Heard some whispers about budget reallocations, but nothing concrete. My department hasn't seen any direct cuts, but there's definitely a 'wait and see' attitude. Anyone else in other divisions picking up on similar trends? Is it just my location, or is this a company-wide thing? Trying to gauge if I should start polishing the resume or if this is just typical defense industry ebb and flow.

Yeah, I've noticed some of that too, though maybe in a different area. Our project timelines have been getting tighter, and there's a definite push to get things done faster with fewer resources. It's not panic mode, but you can feel the pressure mounting. Management seems a bit cagey when asked about long-term planning, which adds to the uncertainty. Hopefully, it's just a typical industry cycle and not something more serious.

Interesting that you mention team reshuffles. We haven't had major cuts either, but there have been a few key people moved around unexpectedly. It does make you wonder what's going on behind the scenes. I've also heard rumblings about new strategic directions being explored, which could explain some of the reassignments. It's hard to say if it's a sign of trouble or just adaptation. Keeping an eye on it.
