GD - Any insight into program slowdowns across the board?

Hey GD folks. Seeing a lot of talk on here and hearing whispers internally about certain programs not moving as fast as they used to. It's not just one division, seems more widespread. Project funding is definitely a topic of conversation, but it feels deeper than just budget cycles. Anyone else noticing this across different business units? Are managers being cagey about future roadmaps, or is it just me? Trying to get a pulse on what's actually happening beyond the official 'business as usual' statements. Feels like a weird quiet before something potentially significant. What's your take?

I've been with the company for a while now, and yeah, the pace definitely feels different lately. It's not just one or two projects; it seems like there's a general drag happening across several areas. You're right, budget is always a factor, but there's a feeling of uncertainty about where things are headed long-term that goes beyond just quarterly reviews. Interesting to see this question pop up. From my perspective in program management, there's been a noticeable shift in how new initiatives are being prioritized and funded. It's less about 'can we do this?' and more about 'is this the absolute highest priority, and what's it taking away from?' There's a lot of internal re-evaluation going on, and while leadership is trying to maintain confidence, the lack of clear, forward-looking roadmaps for many teams is creating a bit of a fog. Makes planning tricky, to say the least.
