GD - Anyone else feeling the pinch on hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, Been with GD for a few years now, and lately, things feel a bit... stagnant. I've noticed our team's open reqs have been sitting for way longer than usual, and some new positions that were supposedly 'coming soon' seem to have vanished into thin air. It's not just my department either; I've chatted with folks in other divisions, and they're seeing similar trends. Internal transfers are also getting tougher to land, which used to be a decent way to switch gears. Is this just a general slowdown, or is anyone else hearing whispers about tighter budgets or hiring freezes across the board? Trying to get a sense of the overall climate. Not seeing any official layoff announcements, thankfully, but the lack of new blood and internal movement is a bit concerning. Curious to hear what others are experiencing.

Yeah, I'm seeing the same thing here. Been waiting on approval for a key hire for months, and the silence is deafening. It definitely impacts morale when you can't get the resources you need, and it makes you wonder about the long-term stability. Hope it's just a temporary dip and not a sign of bigger issues.

Totally feel you on this. My manager has been super cagey about headcount for next quarter, and the usual internal mobility opportunities seem to have dried up completely. It's making it hard to plan for projects and feels like we're being asked to do more with less. Kind of unnerving, to be honest.
