GD - Anyone Else Notice a Slowdown?

Been in my role at GD for a while and things have always been pretty steady, but over the last quarter or so, it feels like the pace has definitely slowed down in certain areas. Fewer new initiatives kicking off, and some ongoing projects seem to be on hold or scaled back. No official word on layoffs, which is good, but it makes you wonder what the long-term plan is. Is this a company-wide thing, or just my division feeling the pinch? Trying to get a sense of the broader picture before I start worrying too much. Anyone else seeing this dip in activity and have any thoughts on what might be behind it? Appreciate any insights.

Interesting observation. I've been seeing something similar in my department, though I chalked it up to end-of-year budget cycles and the usual holiday slowdown. We did have a couple of projects get pushed back, but nothing that seemed alarming. It's definitely good to hear there aren't layoffs being discussed. I'm curious to hear if others have noticed a dip in momentum, especially in different business units. Could be a strategic shift in priorities, or just a temporary lull before the next big push. Hard to say without more intel.

My experience hasn't quite mirrored yours. While I haven't seen a significant slowdown across the board, there have been fewer new project proposals making it past the initial review stage. It feels like there's a bit more caution in greenlighting new ventures right now. On the flip side, existing, critical programs seem to be running at full speed. Perhaps the focus is on shoring up current commitments rather than expanding aggressively at the moment. The lack of official communication on this is what's most unsettling, though.
