Hey all, been with GD for a few years now and lately, the vibe feels... off. It's not just me, right? I've been hearing more and more people grumbling about workload, uncertainty about projects, and just a general feeling of things being a bit shaky. We haven't had any official announcements or anything concrete, but it's hard to ignore the undercurrent of anxiety. Is it just the general economic climate affecting defense, or is something specific brewing at GD? Been seeing a lot of 'must be nice' comments when people mention their old jobs, and that's never been a thing here before. Anyone else picking up on this? Curious to hear if others are feeling the same or if I'm just overthinking things.

Yeah, I've definitely picked up on that too. It feels like there's a lot of quiet stress going around. People are working hard, but there doesn't seem to be much reward or recognition coming back. The uncertainty you mentioned is a big part of it; not knowing what's next can really weigh on people's minds and impact day-to-day morale. Hopefully, leadership addresses these concerns soon.

I'm with you on this. It's not just one department either; it seems pretty widespread. There's a tangible shift in atmosphere compared to even a year ago. Lots of speculation without much concrete information, which breeds negativity. I think people are looking for clearer communication and perhaps some reassurance that their contributions are valued and that the company is stable. This 'whisper network' of unease isn't sustainable.
