Anyone else feeling the chill at GMI lately?

Hey everyone, been with General Mills for a few years now and things feel… different. Usually this time of year, things are picking up pace, maybe some new projects kicking off, but it's been quiet. Like, *really* quiet. Hiring seems to have slowed to a crawl, and even internal transfers feel like they're hitting a brick wall. I haven't heard any official word about layoffs or anything concrete, but there's definitely a weird vibe in the air. Been noticing more closed-door meetings and people being a bit more tight-lipped than usual. Anyone else in other departments picking up on this? Is it just me, or has the energy really shifted? Trying to stay optimistic, but it's hard when the usual buzz is gone. Wondering if others are feeling this too or if I'm just overthinking it. Let me know what you're seeing/hearing.

I've been seeing similar trends. It's not just you. The usual buzz seems to be missing, and there's a general sense of caution. Interesting that you mention the quiet. I've noticed a definite shift in energy too. There's less cross-departmental collaboration happening than usual, and it feels like new ideas aren't getting the traction they once did. It's a bit unsettling when the usual rhythm is disrupted. Makes you wonder about the overall direction.
