Anyone else noticing a hiring freeze and project slowdown?

Hey everyone, been at GMI for a few years now in [Department, e.g., Marketing]. Lately, things have felt...different. We've had a few open reqs that have been stalled for months with no updates, and some of our usual project pipeline seems to be drying up or getting significantly scaled back. My manager's been pretty tight-lipped, just saying 'resource constraints.' Doesn't *feel* like a normal slowdown. Anyone else in other departments seeing the same thing? Is this a company-wide thing or just a few areas? Trying to get a sense of the bigger picture here, as the lack of transparency is making things a bit unsettling.

Yeah, I'm seeing it too, though in a different division. Some key initiatives that were supposed to kick off this quarter have been pushed back indefinitely, and the usual buzz around new product development feels muted. It's definitely unsettling when you're used to a more dynamic pace. Resource constraints is the official line, but it feels like something more strategic is at play, or perhaps just a general belt-tightening across the board. Hoping for some clarity soon.

Definitely experiencing something similar. We've had a couple of positions open for what feels like ages, and the hiring manager is ghosting everyone. Also noticed some budget cuts for smaller projects that would normally get approved without question. It makes it hard to plan and keep momentum going. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions, but the lack of transparency is making people nervous about job security and future growth opportunities within the company.
