Gilead R&D: What's the vibe on project prioritization?

Been at Gilead in R&D for a few years now, and lately, it feels like there's a lot of shifting priorities and a bit of a 'wait and see' attitude on some projects. My team's been asked to really tighten up justifications for any new initiatives, and there's a definite sense that resources are being scrutinized more than usual. Anyone else in the research side of things seeing this? Is it just our department, or is there a broader trend of resource reallocation happening? Curious to hear if others are experiencing a similar vibe, maybe a slowdown in approving new experimental avenues or a push to consolidate existing work.
