The mood here is absolutely gutted. It feels like we are living in a constant state of uncertainty, waiting for the next round of cuts to hit. Management keeps using these corporate buzzwords like 'optimizing' to mask the fact that they are just slashing livelihoods. Does anyone know if they are offering any severance or outplacement services for those 73 people, or are they just walking them out the door with nothing? This place is turning into a ghost town.
Honestly, the lack of transparency is what makes it so toxic. Every time they talk about 'restructuring,' I just assume it’s code for losing more of our team members. It is impossible to focus on actual work when you are constantly looking over your shoulder wondering if you are next on the list. I have been through three of these cycles now and it never gets any easier. My heart goes out to the Dothan crew; they deserve way better than a vague email and a pink slip.
