Globe Life - Anyone else seeing a slowdown in new hires?

Been at Globe Life for a few years now, and lately, I've noticed the usual pace of onboarding new people seems to have really slowed down. We're not hearing about new teams forming or major hiring pushes like we used to. There are definitely open reqs, but it feels like they're taking forever to fill, or maybe they're just not as many as before. Wondering if this is just my department or if others are seeing a similar trend. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but it feels like a possible sign of belt-tightening. Anyone else in different departments or regions feeling this? Curious what others are observing on the ground.

Yeah, I've been seeing that too. It feels like the hiring process has really hit a crawl. Used to be, you'd hear about new groups starting up pretty regularly, but lately, it's been quiet. Even when positions are posted, they seem to linger. It makes you wonder about the overall growth trajectory. Curious to hear if others in different sectors of the company are experiencing the same thing or if it's isolated.

While I haven't directly noticed a difference in my immediate team, I have heard whispers from colleagues in other departments about longer recruitment cycles and fewer new roles opening up than in previous years. It could be a departmental thing, or perhaps a broader strategic shift in how they're approaching expansion. Definitely something to keep an eye on.
